Rhonda H. Hemphill, M.S., CCC-SLP is our Director. She holds a B.A.E. from the University of Florida and a M.S. from Vanderbilt University. She has practiced speech-language pathology for over 40 years and established the Center for Speech & Language, Inc. in 1981. She has been a member of the Orlando CMS Cleft Palate Team for over 20 years. Her additional activities include presenting workshops to parent and professional groups, and she has been a guest speaker for graduate classes at the University of Central Florida as well as at professional association meetings. She has been active in her state professional organization, previously sitting on numerous committees and serving as chairperson. She has earned 19 Awards for Continuing Education from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Rhonda was named Clinician of the Year 2009 by the Florida Association of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists.
Each of our Speech-Language Pathologists has a Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology, and holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and licensure from the State of Florida Department of Health. All of our Speech-Language Pathologists have experience in a variety of different areas so each client can be seen by a clinician with expertise in that client's particular needs.
All members of our educational staff have teaching degrees and certification from the State of Florida, and are currently classroom teachers. They have additional special training in reading intervention.
We also have two wonderful support staff who are happy to answer your questions and assist you in the front office.
